Ideas are Everywhere!
I spent Friday helping my 7th grader "shadow" a scientist for a class project. We sat in on Entomology Professor Linda Mason's lecture on insect behavior at Purdue University, and it was fascinating to hear how insects are used to solve crimes. An idea is percolating in my head now for a murder mystery... Can't reveal the details, since I don't have them yet, but for a writer (and a mom), it was a day well spent! It also reminded me that the seeds for great ideas are all around us, if we're listening and watching for them.

CSI uses bugs all the time to help solve their crimes. I think you have missed out on about 7-10 years of really helpful TV.
